That’s a big one. The largest I’ve seen is a bulb of garlic that was just one clove.

I was a comin’ to say … looks like a pretty standard sized clove of elephant garlic. Your edit has ruined my sanctimony and robbed me of my sense of superiority over you.
I like elephant garlic, but I don’t like the price compared with plain ole run of the mill garlic. But this does give me an idea, maybe I should grow my own elephant garlic this year!
It’s also a lot milder than regular garlic.

They should have “sideshow tents” at farmers markets that are just full of double yolked eggs & elephant garlic… maybe a few giant gourds or a potato that looks like Bill Burr.

Despite being a professional cook my whole life I don’t know near as much about vegetables as I should. I know the typical ones obviously but the fact I didn’t even know elephant garlic was a thing makes me feel kinda uninformed

Yeah but it just makes me realize how much I don’t know and as a lifelong cook I should know.
Problem is I can’t learn by reading or videos I need to be shown first hand in person how to do things in order to actually retain the information.
