uh…this isn’t exactly accurate anymore lol. International enrollment has fallen off a cliff. I dunno if numbers have been officially released yet, but chatting with my friends in admissions offices for some pretty big universities, they’re seeing reductions of 70-80%

historically, revolutions have followed times of great hardship, where the working class (or peasantry if we’re going back further) had nothing left to lose. They also frequently had wealthy backers in the shadows and/or charismatic leaders.
None of that is currently true of the U.S. If you want to call that laziness, fine, but then you have to recognize that humans were “lazy” for most of recorded history.
The only difference is that the US was way more successful. It’s literally identical to what Putin tried with Zelenskyy in the opening days of the Russo-Ukraine war.

Yeah, getting PIA running without the native client has been a bit rough. These days I’ve just gotten use to starting a terminal as soon as I log-in, but I probably need a more permanent solution. maybe it’ll be switching to cachy as well.
