This photo makes me hungry for Frosted Mini Wheats

I played this today while teleworking. It was fun!

As someone else mentioned, humans are hilariously good at cardio. And the more you do it the more efficient you become at it, which means less calories burned.

Then there’s NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) which is unconscious movements you perform during the day. This accounts for a huge number of calories you burn during the day. Both exercise and cutting calories reduce NEAT, especially at you get leaner.

This isn’t to say you shouldn’t cut calories or exercise. Reducing caloric intake absolutely works, you just need to be aware that your body will adjust to it, and that you should take breaks from dieting occasionally to bring your daily estimated calorie burn back up. Exercise should be thought of as something that improves health with a side benefit of some caloric burn.

Just my opinion.

I’m pretty sensitive to caffeine but I like soda, so I drink this. Mostly water and decaf coffee, though.

I keep seeing Trumpers talk about the “Pedocrats” and how Biden molested his children. Not only do they not care, they’ve somehow turned it around in their minds.

There’s a restaurant here called Chai Pani and I never understood why they’d name themselves that (literally “tea water”), but then my Indian father-in-law explained to me what the term is actually used for. It’s used if someone wants you to bribe them. It’s kind of like asking for some money for coffee - “I need money for tea”.

I know some don’t think that pizza qualifies as pie, but surely Chicago deep dish must?

Dessert pie-wise, cherry is always my go to.

I’d love to try making a chocolate cherry pie sometime.

I think something we didn’t consider is that a node can only link to two other nodes. Because two hands. And a node can only be linked to by another node, because one penis.

I love our local coffee place. We bring our dogs. The baristas bring them cups of whipped cream. The place is cozy and they sell art from local artists. And the coffee is actually good and doesn’t taste like someone burned it. I usually make my own coffee, but it’s nice to go there once a week and just enjoy being there. That is premium.
