I don’t think I’d enjoy the actual work for these careers.

I saw my children come out live, but maybe she’s just like the platypus of reptiles or something.

It would be kinda funny though if he kidnapped Carney, we kept everything going without him anyways, and then we sent a sleeper crowd to storm and burn down the Whitehouse again.

You just described my wife.

Username checks out.

Jokes aside, our model of government doesn’t really require the prime minister to function, or even cabinet ministers.
If the US really wanted to bone us from a government perspective, kidnapping King Charles and the current Governor General would actually be the most significant.
We would be unable to pass laws at that point until a new British monarch could be installed and appoint a new GG.

Money spent on soldiers, bases, equipment, etc. would be absolutely useless when the US Military simply double tap every single military base in the country in the first 10 minutes. There are only 27 across Canada. Even if we added 100 new bases to spread things out they could easily do the same thing still. We are far too close, and the military capability difference is absurdly ridiculous.
The two possible things I could think of that would realistically make the US think twice, a) handing out guns and training to civilians en masse and b) a PR campaign to the US population (and military) that may lead to a refusal to invade by the troops.
I’m pretty sure A isn’t going to happen.

No amount of realistic military spending by Canada would help this situation.

A repeat of Germany annexing other countries a century ago.

This is far more important than any “guarding”
North Korea is being actively used as a pawn by China to do things that China doesn’t want to be seen/caught doing.
The most obvious one is hacking, a lot of the North Korean state groups even operate from inside the borders of China.

You can absolutely use your external IP rather than a domain, your ISP likely keeps your IP the same for long stretches of time. Mine only ever really changes during long power outages.
You can get around that the IP issue by broadcasting your ip from your local machine to a known service, there are some free ones but they aren’t the most stable things in the world if it’s critical. Google Dynamic DNS
Always follow the money.
Always.

I am in fact educated in economics, and smarter people than you disagree on taxing billionaires like that.
That’s what you aren’t getting.

Because the money they have is absolutely tiny compared to other groups of people.
Trillions sounds like a lot, until you start talking about real estate or corporate spending.
They’re just easier to pick on/scapegoat, which is why they’re being targeted.

It might take the world… Going to war.

So elon is completely untouched because none of his companies are vital and he has no “income” because it’s all capital appreciation?
Jeff bezos also untouched…
This is the kind of stupid knee jerk thinking that makes all of this discussion irrelevant.
You don’t even know how to reach the goal you want, you just feel like it should be something.

Plenty of non-billionaires play that game.
And even if you removed billionaires, corporations would continue exist and keep spending on politicians anyways.
Getting rid of billionaires doesn’t fix any of that.
Changing the rules around finances in politics does.
Bannock mix?
It’s literally flour, baking powder, and a bit of salt, oil, and water.
Why the hell would you need a mix for it?
It doesn’t even need to use milk or eggs like pancakes, which is often why those have pre-mixes.
