I’ll pass. Too expensive and it’s not like there is anything particularly unique about it to justify the price

The best games I’ve played in the last few years have been actually really cheap

Meh. Huuuge marketing budget with countless bought articles over the interwebs. I liked FH4, also bought FH5 which was a letdown, since it essentially just was more of the same. And I’ll certainly refrain from buying FH6.

Pretty much. Most of the best games I’ve played have been 20% of the price. They just don’t get much attention

Yes, and I love car games - over the years I have collected some things which I’m happy now: aluminium rig, moza wheel, VR headset. So I only do racing games that support VR, since I don’t have room for a huge ass screen on my rig.

Just recently found “Flatout 4: Total insanity VR” and it nicely scratches my itch for casual arcade racing, aside from my usual more serious stuff (Euro Truck Sim 2, Raceroom, AMS2, Richard Burns Rally, …)

I sold my oculus. Waiting for steam frame

Never found a racing game after hot pursuit 2 that maintained my attention for long to be honest… nothing can ever beat wacky wheels though ever

The campaign is silly. The AI drivers are sycophantic and cheaty.

    But…

really love the cars, and the driving model. Multiplayer is fun. And the map is crazy. The sheer scale of the game brings back that feeling of awe I got from Test Drive Unlimited 1, a long time ago.

It looks great. It runs shockingly well on older hardware gens I tested (AMD 7000, Nvidia 3000).

And the key reseller price ($50) is reasonable.

Disclaimer: I definitely did not “trial” the game via high seas, nope.

Also, I’d understand people hating FH6 over it basically not working on Linux.

It’s a racing game, what do you expect? It’s got the same MC score as the last 3 games in the series because they’ve got the formula down pat.
