Audible broke somehow. So now I have 1, 194 hours, and 2 minutes of book left… OC
Its not one audiobook but ive been listening to james aclers deathlands for a couple years now. Theres around 130 audiobooks, each one is about 8-12 hours. I use audacity to combine 5 audio books at a time and it certainly feels like one long audiobook. I might be around 400 hours now and thats still only half way
Suspiciously close to a 32bit integer maximum value in milliseconds (232/1000/60/60=1193 hours)
Maybe you listened to roughly 1 hour or had roughly 1 hour left and some sort of integer overflow happened that set the remaining time to integer maximum+listened time/time left
That has to be it somehow! But it happens with all books now… and a different book I tested was 1,200 hours when I started it.
But at least I know aliens aren’t trying to send me messages now :P thanks
The book: A simple guide to choosing the right Lemmy instance for you.
Probably reading the Count of Monte Cristo. The first act is like an hour, the second act is 1100 hours and the third act is 45 minutes
It’s the Fascinating Whale Facts! parts of Moby Dick
1194 hours is pretty close to 2¹⁶
secondsminutes🤔No it’s not…2^16 is 65,536.
1194 • (60 • 60) = 1194 • 3600 = 4,298,400
Your closest power of 2 is 2^22…4,194,304
I meant minutes, I’m dumb
It is, however, very suspiciously close to 2^32 (4,294,967,296) milliseconds.
What are you listening to, the collected version of The Dark Tower?
