Had to look at another article for pricing and whatnot but $1,700 and $2,000 doesn’t seem bad. Though with all the ‘intelligent’ features outlined on the product page, it seems like there’s a subscription revenue model waiting to sneak into your wallet.
Rounding out the announcements is the Xaber (say-br) 300, an electric dirt bike geared toward off-roading. It has three power modes, letting you learn on the equivalent of a 150cc engine, then dialing that up to 200cc, before topping out at 300cc.
Dude, the equivalent of a 300cc motor for $2k is a CRAZY good deal.
That’s probably for the two pedestrian bikes. The Xaber will probably be much much more.
That makes more sense.
Yeah, I’m fairly skeptical of non-bicycle companies that suddenly decide to make e-bikes in general, but “smart” features are often anything but that, so I’m put off doubly so.
Both the Also bike, and now this one advertise remote lock and GPS as beneficial consumer features.
Realtime location data collection, coming to bicycling.
If you ride with your phone and it’s not locked down for privacy, it’s already here.
