So im what you may call a noob to piracy, and im still learning the ropes, so im starting with direct downloads. Porn in my area usually needs very personal info to even watch in my area, which i do not feel ok giving to a 18+ site.
So how can I download porn, hentai, Japanese porn, and such media safely or atleast watch it without needing some very personal info like a id or image of myself? Ive looked over the megathread, but im not sure where to start or what sites work for my needs.

e-hentai.org is not just japanese but also western adult comics. They have direct download and torrents.
A VPN would probably be your best bet, and watching porn is fine. Idk what the other dude is fussing about
when downloading any kind of video, yt-dlp is your friend.
Are you trying to watch porn from any location with strict age verification code like South Korea? If so, the first thing you need to do is get a geo spoofers, either VPN or proxy server. Then the world is your oister, porn is really easy to find on the Internet, animation like hentai very much so. Tools like ytdlp or j downloader would get you most contents from direct streaming websites. It’s only the searching curating and collecting that’s the challenge afterwards
Use sites that don’t care about age laws. Plenty of niche ones out there.
But admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery, proud of you.

A reputable VPN like Mullvad or Proton combined with youtube-dl can pull from some sites but it is pretty hit or miss.
youtube-dl has since been superseded by yt-dlp
yt-dlp no longer works on youtube for me personally. i’ve read about workarounds but they are too advanced for me to understand.
however, it works fine on every porn site i have tried so far.
If it doesn’t work,
yt-dlp -U. If it still doesn’t work, I don’t know what to do anymoreI honestly don’t know if yt-dlp works on YouTube as I use it exclusively for porn lol
For me the package manager version was outdated - I grabbed the latest version from the GitHub and it just works again.
Why download though? Tubesites abound. VPN’s are cheap af. Get cheap ass VPN, watch porn. Done. Even if the vpn is sleezy who cares, you just need it to show you are in a state that doens’t give a shit about those kinda laws (MA in the US doesn’t have those restrictions).
Also mentioned a hoard of times, yt-dlp works (just get the latest from github). Still, it’s porn. Unless it’s something ultra specific that you were looking for or something rare, just hit up a tube site.
I am one of those people to recommend you not do that (I don’t watch that stuff anymore, as that just traumatized me).
