The impersonating metadata Bambu refers to is AFAIK only the User-Agent header in the request, and the forker didn’t “inject” or “falsify” anything, they just used that part of the open source code as it was provided by Bambu.

I was supposed to get mine on Friday afternoon. Was following the tracking down to 1 stop away, and then I got a “sorry, we tried to deliver it but couldn’t find you” message. They certainly didn’t try, not even drove by (I live in a very quiet street and would have heard it).

And it’s not the first time they did the same.

That’s a very good idea. I’m pretty sure the payment processing is the bottleneck here. I tried to buy the controller for 30 minutes without luck using Paypal. Switched to debit card and it went through first try.

I wasn’t able to place the order using PayPal, got an instant error (from Steam) every time. Then I tried with card and it went through without an issue.

As you said, not every one of the 1000 board/unboard on the same stop. So, let’s analyze your 100 per stop figure: The modern (subway) trains that I use daily can carry 1000 people, are roughly 120m long, and have 18 double doors per side. That’s like 6 people per door, totally doable.
