The API thing. I was using RIF for a very long time at that point and had no intention of using the official Reddit app.

Makes me curious - are there some sort of specific winter tires for bikes? I’ve been riding mine around with its regular tires fine enough, but I do stay on the plowed parts of the roads. Would be cool if I could just drive through the actual snow
Man Sertraline used to fuck me up pretty bad. Like crying every day and not doing anything else. My doctor still insisted on dosing me up to 150mg. Quitting it was awful too, I was nauseous for a week straight.
Nowadays I’m much better on Adderall and a Beta Blocker to keep my heart rate in check

3·5 days agoI like my regular Switch (because it’s jailbroken and I haven’t ever paid Nintendo for any game on it) but I see no reason to ever get a Switch 2 when the Steam Deck exists.
My first Redbull was on a class trip in 5th grade that involved an overnight bus drive, so I had it because it’s supposed to make you stay awake. Well it made me zonk out immediately and sleep through the entire rest of the bus ride (Diagnosed and medicated for adhd nowadays dw)
I’m 99% sure this is France. Any Geoguesser pro around to confirm or dispute that?

Technology@lemmy.world•Speed test pits six generations of Windows against each other — Windows 11 placed dead last across most benchmarks, 8.1 emerges as unexpected winner in this unscientific comparisonEnglish
4·8 days agoIt’s the same exact laptop, the tests ran sequentially but were edited so that the video shows them in parallel. Since it’s the same hardware in each test and only the OS changes, it’s a perfectly fine setup for comparison.
Goddammit I need to wear this to work. It would be funny because a) the company I work at exclusively has internal shares that are owned by employees so my coworkers are my shareholders and b) I’m a woman so the daddy part is funny af
Don’t ever turn on the bidet too early!
I grew up in a strong Black Tea for breakfast kinda household, and putting milk in it was pretty frowned upon because that’s what Kazakhstan People (?) do. (My parents are racist in ways most people couldn’t even comprehend) So I only tried Chai Latte kinda recently, but compared to coffee it just lacks depth and tastes kinda watery to me. Which I’m pretty sad about since I’m not supposed to drink coffee at the moment ;_;
It’s not that many people are upgrading all the time, but if you coincidentally need an upgrade right now you’re gonna talk about how it sucks. Leads to bias in what people talk about, I guess.
I sure know I’m talking about it a lot, since I was planning to build my first ever Desktop PC a few months ago and now I have all the parts except for the RAM and it sucks to be waiting for the prices to drop :(
Russian could have been such a woke language if Russia wasn’t such a right-wing shithole. It’s kind of elegant how you gender verbs when talking about yourself, because your conversation partner can just pick up on it and gender you accordingly.
I don’t like it when websites don’t allow me to enter emojis in text boxes (like when naming or tagging things in browser games). It’s not even that I do it a lot, I just don’t like arbitrary restrictions like that. I know my fellow web devs always get nervous about them causing technical issues, but realistically that really doesn’t happen with any modern tech stacks. I’ve been including emoji input in the test cases for any text input components I program and there’s never been any real issue that would warrant not allowing them at all. Even the notorious 10-character 👨🏻❤️💋👨🏻 really doesn’t cause problems, you just have to account for the length of it.

1·2 months agoTotally, no one matches hognoses in derpyness! They’re allowed to be derpy because of their cute faces though haha
Also, snake tax? 👀

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•First snake to be covered in vegan butter?!?
1·2 months agoIt’s really chill! I wouldn’t let her crawl around freely, because it’s way too cold in my apartment (she needs constant ambient temps of around 26-28°C during the day and 22-26°C at night). I just sometimes let her hang out on my desk or in my plant shelf supervised.
She only bites food, and even that not very keenly. Royal pythons do have a reputation for being like “I don’t like how that rat smells/it’s got the wrong temperature/ it moves weirdly ->I’m not eating it”. She did bite my finger once because I was wiggling it around in front of her face in a spot that smelled like rat, but that’s fully on me haha. Not that the bite was bad though, (non venomous) snake bites are a total joke. They got very little bite force because their lower jaw isn’t solid, and their teeth do basically no damage because they aren’t evolved for chewing, just for holding on.
I don’t think she minded the butter, but she wasn’t very thrilled about washing the butter off after haha. I was wiping her down with a wet towel and she didn’t like the wetness I think. Forgot all about it within 5 minutes though and happily climbed back into her house when I set her down.

1·2 months agoOh you’d be surprised, snakes are notoriously derpy. Mine especially loves climbing as high as she can at night and falling down with a loud thump 🥲

The starbucks in my area used to sell the mugs that they also used in-store. They were gigantic (like 700ml?), completely white ceramic with a very subtle logo and only cost 10€ each. They’re also extremely dishwasher proof because they were made to be washed like a dozen times a day. After like 6 or 7 years of use (we got them pre-covid), they still look like new and I regret only buying 2 of them at the time.

Ironically, I haven’t actually ever bought a drink at starbucks. I only bought the mugs because I saw them while picking up a Too Good To Go order there one time
