Yeah, I don’t think “asking people what will happen” is a reliable way to measure pretty much anything, let alone the future, so being more accurate than that is whatever. Additionally, I tried to find where the substack got his numbers for these chances from, and it seems like the answer is out of his ass? So that isn’t very credible either in my opinion.

I… don’t know if I want to believe someone who cites a gambling site as a credible source.
depends. If they believe AI is gonna become sentient and kill us all, then yeah, because that is still implying that AI is gonna become sentient. If they believe AI is accelerating climate change and societal collapse through misinformation, then no, obviously.

4·12 days agoI think saying he harmed the movement would be rather insane. He mostly sent back-and-forth pamphlets with anarchists (and ecofascists who thought famines were just nature doing it’s thing). All of this was essentially twitter debate pre-twitter. The contributions he brought to actual theory, however, are substantial. I don’t think these people mean to deceive you, they are actually angry about him, but I do not think that means he harmed the movement as a whole,

7·12 days agoHe didn’t, he stopped calling it anarchism because he got into tto many fights with anarchists(mostly for writing about what he called “lifestyle anarchism”, people who make moves to go off grid and do illegal shit and pretend to be anarchist without doing any meaningful organising and the like). Fundamentally communalism still aligns with anarchist means and goals.
right, but have you considered that (targeted!) terrorism works?
right, this was obviously why the soviets had to be abolished, they consisted purely of the elites. It is also why Makhnovist Ukraine had to be destroyed, because of it’s bourgeois stateness, and why so many stateless societies came from the communist revolutions, as opposed to the anarchist ones like in Rojava, which all failed. Obviously.
Their art depicted Africans as noble and strong people
isn’t that just a “noble savage” type of thing?
You also seem to not mention, for example, the treatment of lgbtq+ people, or the various minority ethnicities living within the soviet union
Your proposal seems to be that we should replace the current hierarchical mode of resource ownership(capitalism) with another hierarchical mode of resource ownership(a state). This seems to not resolve the issue of hierarchies, only of the current hierarchy.
This is reductionist. Left vs Right is about societal organisation. Right wing politics believes hierarchies are natural, necessary, or both, and trying to tamper with them is bad. Left wing politics believes hierarchies are unjust or bad for human flourishing, and they should be removed. Reducing it to only one hierarchy, capitalism, leaves the door open for bad actors. A monarchist can be anti-capitalist without being left-wing.
while this is most likely true, you don’t really know what other sources of lead you come into contact with and it is probably a bad idea to add to the list deliberately
I’d guess just binary builds, no need to reinstall the entire environment again every time you install something.
