“15 items or less” lanes should charge extra for going over. 0-20 no charge, 21+ = $1 per extra item (including the 16-20). That money goes towards whoever uses the register after you.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What thing at work made you rage quit your job?
17·2 days agoThat Dave guy shouldn’t have a kid if he doesn’t give a shit if a light falls on them. The “you don’t parent my kid” thing is insane. If someone tells me my kid was in a danger zone, I’m moving my kid.
The church may have had previous problems with the guy bing a negligent ass, and finally told him to fuck off.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•What's your favorite launcher for Android-based OS that values privacy?
1·3 days agoNot sure what the deal with a v2 is, as far I can find I have the latest version (15 beta 2). Can’t find any reference to a separate version, beside a dead github page for v1 and a second website that appears to be an older version of the app.
I downloaded the play store version, and it was the same version number as Izzy. At a quick glance it looked the same.

But here you get rest at the end of the week and start the week with rest.
Do you like starting the week on a Monday?
Calendar companies panicking to find a spot to fit the mini calendar for March.
Let’s mug 'em!
One says you die now.
The other says we both die now.
Skimming through this, most labours do a lot of the “don’t cleanup and abuse equipment” stuff anyway. Are we surrounded by spies?
Yes perfectly balanced. Ying without the Yang.
They listened to the guy who bet everything on a kid winning a pod race to get some spaceship parts, and worse, he brought Jar Jar back with him.
But that would require wisdom. This is the same console that didn’t understand what balancing the force meant. 10,000 v 2, hmm whats gonna happen if we balance that out?
They should have sent that boy on his way home, hopes and dreams crushed. If they want to be extra safe, have an unfortunate air lock incident on the flight back.
Yes, you translated that right. Congratulations, you’ve learned another language.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When you were living with your parents, how often would they go through your personal space? (aka; enter your room, search your drawers, your backpack, your electronic devices, etc...) Is this normal?
2·10 days agoI never claimed my parents where good at the online part.
We also have individual accounts. It’s not an issue if other associates can see those passwords, as they’re strictly for professional use.
Individual accounts should not be accessible by others. Especially things like email, someone can abuse that really bad. You also have to trust that everyone with access to not share the data with everyone else, because at some point their going to stay logged in somewhere. Or they will give the password to someone because its easier than signing them in all the time.

16·11 days agoNever. They’re parents, not the police. As a long as I stayed out of trouble, they respected my space. When I was young they’d go through stuff, but that was more for cleaning the room (when I refused to).
Parents now have to be more involved with the “online” space and aware who their children are in contact with. There’s certainly boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed, the main thing is educating children about the dangers and go from there.

We shouldn’t jump straight into violence, so how about after 5 minutes we’re allowed to beat them with anything from their cart, our cart, or the complementary whiffle ball bat?
