Be prepared to be defederated from almost immediately as it opens by people… as well, as an instance admin, I can say it is hard. Even for a small instance. As well, people are just going to downvote your instances content as soon as its posted. The only reason we have the harry potter community still on literature.cafe is because its dead and most posts to it are critique of the TERF JK Rowling and the series, if it was positive content we’d likely have to delete it.

It works with most fediverse platforms (its in beta still, but gonna come out of beta soon!) not so much with lemmy as its more so microblogging

But they are correct. There are vulnerable groups of people who have a harassment risk against them. We share the fediverse with others, be mindful of that. Making a search engine or an archiver for lemmy is such a good idea with how it functions! but for the wider fediverse… that’s just directly contradictory to its culture unless it can be opted in by instance and users

Damn the fediverse is really having it’s moment. I guess even non-techie people really are truly getting fed up with corporate social media.
