I’ve used this website in the past to generate passwords. It is based on this xkcd comic.
Thanks for mentioning it. I never finished it though
I’m just completely confused by this pyramid. What does it say?
- Bread / grain is the basis for our food
- Avoid bread
- Bread is the 3rd corner, equally important to meat and vegetables
All three seem equally logical to me.
Nice that you added “status=progress” so I can closely follow what is happening.

Linux@programming.dev•Nvidia is reportedly bringing official Linux support to GeForce Now soon, not just for Steam Deck
61·8 days agoI think it’s also a great option for games that don’t run well on the steam deck due to lacking performance.
It doesn’t really look like a “complete withdrawal within 3 hours”.
Donald Trump warns Venezuela’s new leader Delcy Rodríguez she could “pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro” if she “doesn’t do what’s right”

Just as a side note: According to the patent application, BMW plans to use this special screw for parts of the vehicle that are not for regular service, e.g. airbags and seat mountings.
Examples include seat attachment points and joints between the cockpit and the load-bearing structure of the body.
These are IMO not the kind of screws you need to use to carry out regular maintainance or repair tasks.

RetroGaming@lemmy.world•So I started cloning the Wii U gamepad... MattKCEnglish
3·15 days agoInteresting to watch! Though it still seems kinda clunky to set this up, maybe with a steam deck or similar console (in case you have one already).

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•BentoPDF is a self hostable, privacy first PDF ToolkitEnglish
3·15 days agoIs there a function to create a booklet or brochure?
This was a very useful feature to print a number of pages and have them in an easy format to read.
However, at least my Ubuntu print driver doesn’t have this feature, and I would need an extra tool to achive this goal.
It appears you were already blocked six month ago due to “vote manipulation”.
I get that you don’t like Image AI communities, but why not just block these communities?

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that you can/should budget yearly for long term purchases
3·18 days agoRight. Basically, I can assume that at at least one thing in the household breaks each year. This year, it was the microwave oven.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that you can/should budget yearly for long term purchases
191·19 days agoOne downside i see with this is that it is often unclear how long an item will last. For example, I bought my dishwasher in 2021. When will they need to be replaced? The last one lasted 24 years, but I’m not going to bet on the new one lasting as long.
Phew, it’s only the motherboard that broke, not the RAM.
I heard he already lost interest in this project.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Do you rebuild your container images yourself?English
2·24 days agoI did it only once (yet) because i needed a specific addon for the software.
In my case, I wanted to use caddy webserver with a specific plugin. It was quite easy to create a new image exactly the way i wanted it.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Steam winter sale is live. What patient games are you picking up?
1·25 days agoWhy would you buy a game now that you have no hardware to play on?
Maybe I‘m wrong, but there will probably be one or two more sales until you hold that shiny new hardware in your hands.
Please don’t use a telescope to check, otherwise you will have no eyes.
I’m not a mbin user, but the combined frontpage looks interesting.

I don’t use KeePass anymore, but from this screenshot and the documentation I believe that it does not generate passphrases as defined by this xkcd comic.
