Exactly, that’s precisely what I mean by pushing liberals and the people who are protesting to do more.
Not just making fun of people who are doing a not very effective protest, but talking to them and connecting with them.

So if people aren’t doing the kind of resistance we want, and we can’t push people who already are willing to to some kind of action to be better informed and move more left, what the fuck do we do?
We always need more leftists, especially those with the willpower to actually go out and do shit. And where do you get more leftists? Hoping and playing people educate themselves, or pushing people who already mostly have similar base ideals to realize the logical conclusions of our current systems and what this administration is trying to do, and act accordingly?

I mean it’s better than nothing? Sure it could always be more but I feel like pushing for more resistance and better protests is better than just making fun of it.

The tankies might have a couple similar values I agree with, but I reeeeally just don’t like the dprk support I’ve seen.
Funny enough I been thinking about moving to midwest.social cuz I’ve been meaning to move off .world for a while lol

Crossposted from hexbear? Fucking please.
Maybe don’t?

I think they are bad in different ways tbh.
Also, on a personal level your average ICE employee is much more actively fascist and evil than your average military employee. There are actually a decent amount of relatively normal humans in the US military, after all most of the US military is just a massive fucking supply line.
In the 1930s, near the start of the USSR, average rent in the US was $18/month. It is now nearly $2,000/month.
That’s the real radicalization.

Yeah, honestly kinda seems like they’re doing it just because they can. Which, even that is barely being hidden.

Sure, America has been a pretty shitass state for a while. But when you say it shouldn’t exist, do you mean that it’s state and power structures should be completely demolished and reworked, with the general population and working class minimally harmed, or should it’s people also be removed? Because former is really fucking hard, but would be really good, and the latter is just bad.
The problem people have with ‘death to amerikkka’ is that they value the people of America, and it’s culture. (Though there is something to be said for the culture being imperialist as well.) The mechanics of how the American empire could actually fall are pretty damn messy.
It really is mostly on hexbear, some .ml communities, and occasionally their leakage into other places.
I have seen some of it here but it’s been better recently
In general maybe not that many but those types are certainly pretty loud here on the internet.

Depends on the soap probably, but I don’t think most soaps are like that, they dissolve into the water and the pressure of the jets is the main physical action.

Understandable tbh, though since the 90s there had been actual progress, if slow. I think it will probably remain a fairly niche thing and not for everyone, but it does provide a unique experience in my opinion.
I have an oculus quest 2 (technically meta now but fuck that) that I still use occasionally, and even though it’s a bit old now it’s still decent. And actual modern headsets are much better, and the steam frame should be about on par or a little better than the quest 3, but not made by meta, running Linux, and with steam library integration. There are better spec ones out there, but it gets expensive quick.

Tbf its a pretty recent thing, was only announced in November, and I’ve really only seen coverage of it in places that regularly talk about VR. As someone interested in VR though I am quite excited for it.

I think the problem is more that yes, the earth can only sustain so many people, but we have not nearly hit that limit yet. And in my opinion a better worldview is ‘lets take care of the planet better and have more efficient organization of labor and food and such, so that the earth can take care of us in return and support more people.’

Ah gotcha, article is just written poorly then.

So if I’m reading it right they basically just tried it out and then decided to not use it, removing anything that used it? I can see how technically that it ‘was used at all in development’, but also seems a lil silly to pull the awards based on it.
They probably should have clarified how they used it a lot earlier, but I also don’t blame them for trying out a new tool.
PSL?
