I’m sure you’ve thought of it, but I would make sure to add sensible backups in order to secure the important data.

I personally use scaleway, but for options you can check here https://european-alternatives.eu/
Same, I look like a beady-eyed opossum without mine, so having them off my face too long in public gives me social anxiety instead 😝
Frequently. It helps reduce sensory overload and allow me to calm down faster.

Casual Conversation@piefed.social•Have you ever broken up with a friend and cut them out of your life? How'd that go?English
17·1 month agoI’m a big fan of social pruning and I’ve broken up with quite a few friends. Most of the breakups was easy, they were either assholes or we’d grown so far apart that the only viable discussion topic was what happened 10 years ago.
For me, I ask myself how often I keep in touch with them, what our connection is and if it’s a friend I still wish to spend time around. One of the tell-tale signs for me is when I’ve planned something with someone and as the day/hour approaches, I start looking for excuses to do something else.

2·1 month agoYeah, I’m aware of the overhead and hope I won’t have to roll back to something less, but if it turns out to be too demanding, I will have to roll back to nfs or think of something else.

4·1 month agoI’m planning on using proxmox with Ceph. I’m already using proxmox for virtualization of my k8s nodes, but with three hardware nodes it’s finally time to enable ceph as well as HA.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's an online service you happily pay for?English
5·2 months agoCurrently, I’m paying for a vps where I run a test environment for my homelab. I also pay for mail and vpn services, support some FOSS projects and buys music a couple times a month.
New features, fixing bugs, security fixes, hardware support, etc. Why would Linux updates be different than updates to any other OS?

8·3 months agoSoon? It’s been on my resume for over a year.
I used to love keycloak, but lately they’ve made changes that make client setup feel very complicated. I switched to authentik a while back and I feel it’s far easier to deal with.
