    From the article.

By the 2020s, conservatives were dying at significantly higher rates than liberals, with the gap concentrated in internal causes (for example, heart disease, cancer and stroke). The divide since 2020 is substantial: while only 0.2% of ‘very liberal’ respondents died of internal causes between 2020 and 2022, the probability for people who identified as ‘very conservative’ was 1.14 percentage points higher (P = 0.021; 95% confidence interval (CI), (0.18, 2.11)). This gap is not limited to deaths from COVID-19 and is not reducible to demographic or geographic differences between the groups, nor is it a pure function of ageing: previous cohorts’ death patterns in older data did not show a similar correlation between health and ideology before 2010.

Literally dying to own the Libs.

I would celebrate it if not for the innocent people caught in the crossfire

But, I’d rather they were healthy and those who their ignorance affects who have no choice we’re healthy too

Hmm. Turns out living your life fearing what you don’t understand, refusing to learn about anything new and double down on your own ignorance, and carrying a heart full of hatred that doubles in weight every time you step outside or turn to entertainment is a really unhealthy and even fatal way to live.

I can only imagine how chronically raised blood pressure and brain + body pickled by constant fear and anger (stress, really) wreaks havoc on the system and is a big factor in the exacerbation of health issues that become fatal much faster.

Fear is fatal, acceptance transcends. We’re all going to die, but if you’re going to ‘live’ your life in constant fear and anger you’re not going to make it very long.

      Fear is fatal

Yeah, adrenaline and cortisol were not meant to be pumping through the body all the time.

Let us bear in mind what even the abstract points out, that less-healthy people were becoming noticeably more “conservative” even before COVID, even before the current president got elected the first time.

That is, people who felt they were getting the shaft were looking for something new and different, politically.

Which is part of how Fascism got its start in 20th century Europe, too.
