It appeared as if something similar could happen in the Netherlands, but the collapse of a coalition government led to a reprieve. How should the scientific community respond to such crises?

    A smart population will realise that those in charge are useless, greedy idiots and will eventually choose to have them removed however a stupid population won’t care so you do the math and figure out why knowledge is under threat around the world.
