I’ll be honest, the amount of discussion baffles me too. If someone’s not interested in the comics, and that’s fair enough, just move on, we don’t need another grumpy comment about it or the author!

There seems to be a quite small, but very vocal, minority who like to shout about them not being funny (most of them aren’t supposed to be funny, they’re illustrating a point), not being elaborately well drawn (they don’t need to be, they make their point just fine), suggesting they’re a bit self-insert (fair enough, they’re inspired by her life), or suggesting these things don’t actually happen or aren’t bad (worrying…).

Ultimately, if someone doesn’t like them, they’re free to ignore them, no-one’s forcing anyone to read them.

Yeah, right, I’m sure that’s exactly what you’d do with them.

Regardless of your status at parties, I actually prefer your wording, it seems to scan a little more easily.

The problem is that Höcke probably looks at that and thinks “It was a good start”. People like that feel no shame for this sort of thing, and want more of it. It could be a powerful message to others though.

I’m not a horse person, but having been around several, my understanding is that horses don’t joke about that sort of thing. They take it very seriously indeed.

It does sound a bit daunting to begin with, but the process is actually fairly straightforward, and once you understand it, publishing your package to your repositories just becomes another step in your build pipeline.

Not really. The user adds the repository to the list of repositories their package manager is using, and the packages in that repository appear as normal packages for them to select. When the author publishes a new version of their package it’ll appear as an update in all users package managers.

Sort of, but each of them uses a different way of making the repository, so really it’s more a case of different repositories in different directories, but they can all be on the same website.

To be fair, he does address why flatpak isn’t really suitable for his package in particular, as it needs to get out of the sandbix flatpak puts it in, which is hacky. None-the-less, it does feel like he’s making a mountain out of a mole hill.
