Instead, it is essentially an MSN Weather web app built on Microsoft’s WebView2 framework. Task Manager shows multiple Chromium-based subprocesses running simultaneously, which contributes to the unusually high RAM usage.

So many “apps” these days are just three web pages dressed up in a trenchcoat, eating up your vastly overpriced RAM. It wasn’t a good practice even before the prices went up, but now we really need resource-efficient software.

If we weren’t stuck with first-past-the-post elections we wouldn’t be stuck with a choice between Neoliberal bankers and maple MAGA.

Some people, particularly many Americans, use the term “liberal” to mean left-wing or progressive. The Liberal Party of Canada is not really liberal in that sense, though they make smallish gestures towards social progressivism when it doesn’t impact capital.
