Aye, but that’s not what they were saying. They were using the word as a synonym for chaos. A conflation of words that needs to be broken if anybody is to even begin to understand anarchism.
Anarchy = chaos has been used as a thought termination device since time immemorial, to shut up and confuse debate, to instill fear, and keep the rulers ruling.

I don’t know if I can condone this protest. Have you got a government permit? Are you making sure not to inconvenience anybody?
These are important aspects of a protest that must be adhered to before I can give my support to any form of improvements in life!
Most of Europe in the 1940s was defeated by the very same forces that defeated Spain in the 1930s. Except they had the ability to learn the lessons of Spain and had the backing of international capital and the world’s most renowned militaries.

Blitzkrieg was a brand new warfare technique which the Spanish had to contend with and they lasted 3 years against the Axis powers whilst also trying a new form of political, social, and economic organisation. I think you should read up on the Spanish civil war some more, it’s an incredible period of history which if anything proves the strengths of anarchism despite the Republicans ultimately losing.
