The technical reason is that it lyses the cells. The freezing process causes the water in the cells to expand, often beyond the boundary of their cell membrane/ cell wall. From what I could tell, you are apologizing for gendered violence and promoting a sexist world view that removes women of agency when it comes to the use of force and violence when it comes to the escalation of use of violence.

Can you accept that if any one as an aggressor, including a woman, initiates violence, and especially, if that person continues to climb the escalation ladder, that they’re in the wrong? That it doesn’t matter what their gender is. If you or any one initiates and escalates violence, that person is in the wrong?

Because from what I could tell, the thread was basically one camp apologizing for a woman initiating and then escalating a violent situation. No one making the accusations of misogyny or sexism could really address the fact that the aggressor in the scenario, self-acknowledged being the aggressor and initiator in her Facebook post. She said she did what the people saying that she was the aggressor did.

Apologism for violence is reactionary. No gender or sex has a monopoly on violence. The aggressor or initiator is the one who is wrong. The one who steps up the escalation ladder through more extreme forms of violence is wrong. The one who tries to de-escalate is right.
