Ukraine@sopuli.xyz•List of artists who performed in russia after the full scale invasionEnglish
291·2 days agoThey crossed the Ukrainian border illegally from the russian side, performed on the festival organized by “victory cult” / red fash pro-putin biker group that fought against Ukraine. They never apologized for these, and made these really weird comments back in the day. His explanation is even more stupid then the original quote that caused the issue, like
That someone invades or occupies another country is against international law, which I think should apply instead of someone resorting to armed conflict as has now happened in Ukraine.
Ukraine made a decision to do exactly that in 2014. Guess what happened next? Right, russia wanted more and started military activity in Donetsk, Luhansk, Dripro, Kharkiv, Odesa. “Happened” in Ukraine. As if he’s talking about weather. Russia fucking did it.

10·2 days agoAstra is known to have broken alignment and it will resolve to hacks when this wasn’t in a problem statement.
Openai idiots will sell this as new brand “AGI is close” argument, while it’s just them failing to make this model safe to use.
+3 toughness? Ok so it means you survive lightning bolt now, congrats.
What worked for us is getting cat locked on a kitchen for some 5-10 minutes if it misbehaves, alongside the already mentioned loudly make noise to show that it hurts.
Like, you make pain = we are not playing with you. It didn’t take long for her to learn to hide her claws and stop eating electric cables.

Ukraine@sopuli.xyz•Russia 'lost control' of its oil refining industry due to Ukraine's attacks, Trump saysEnglish
7·15 days agoBesides, russia stopped diesel export long long time ago, so it doesn’t affect the price - it affects availability at the russian market. Which affects their ability to gather crops. So they are desperate.
I think the chain is fairly short, he dispatched some diplomats to achieve pause in russian invasion prior to midterms. Russians found a way to dumbfold US diplomats into requesting attacks on diesel to stop as a requirements for any peace talks. That was relayed to Trump.
They didn’t account for the position of Ukraine, because this idiots don’t see it as a separate player. Its not aligning with their realpolitik spheres of influence worldview.

LocalLLaMA@sh.itjust.works•What's the motivation behind vibe-hobbying?English
8·17 days ago15yrs dev here.
Im not yet set for locally running agents but my hands are itching to build a decent low-mid budget machine for this. I do a lot of agentic coding at work and I’ve honed my skills at creating custom MCPs for whatever I want.
Lots of small utils that can be custom-tailored to my needs can be done with agents in 2-4h to prototype, 1-2d to good solution, 2w of usage to eliminate all the rough edges and bugs. I want that stuff for my personal needs.
As for the main hobby project I do, it’s a godot game. Coding is the worst part of it. I do my coding at my job, now do the coding too after work hours?
You might ask me why did I even start. Gamedev feels different from usual dev in about 70% of activity. You draw assets, you create scenes, you tweak mechanics or some constants until it feels fun etc.
But hitting coding problems is inevitable. And when it’s some complex shit, it can go for weeks, months. It’s a grind. Its not fun.
I’d gladly eliminate the grind. The core architecture of it would still be under my guidance and supervision.

81·17 days agoBoth want to see russia in one peace and both don’t care about it’s genocidal wars and continue trading. The difference is minimal.
Empire is crumbling right before our eyes. Well, people voted for it. But it doesn’t threaten shaheds to fly daily over states. Not instantly, at least.
And the same can’t be said about EU, sending shaheds from Belarus = pretty much the whole Europe is in range.
Ukrainian here, glad someone understands. Russia is still the threat, and a very real threat to the whole Europe. No European country is ready for the war of drones - neither on the frontlines vs FPV (which we see repeatedly in European-Ukrainian trainings) and in the air vs reactive jet shaheds.
Like ffs just count the amount of antiair rockets you have in your country and check out the history of russian aerial attacks on Ukrainian cities. Its 200-300 shaheds every second day. Would your stocks last a week? Okay, two? USA is learning this in Iran, but they are on the other side of the world so they can take the L and move on.
Apple is not a competitor for anthropic/openai, it’s competitor to nvidia. Latest mac studio is very local AI capable, with 256gb uram and upcoming 512gb, while not terrible inference speed.
They are selling shovels, basically.
I’m just gonna leave this here

2·1 month agoWhat’s interesting about this? MacDonald’s left after the fullscale invasion, and someone bought the assets to make a cheap kickoff.
It is not about sovereignty, they try to preserve Moscow as “rich and just like the West”, cause it’s the place foreigners visit.
