The things I dislike the most about getting old is 1) all the obligations and lack of free time. Partly my fault, I love being a dad, but I could use a break. 2) recovery isn’t as fast as it used to be. What used to be hours is now a day. What used to be a day is now days. Etc etc

I had similar issues. Turns out I was using 70% ipa. Switching to 90% fixed it.

Depends on the person. I am definitely more expressive than your average man, but it’s all strategic. I use my openness as a distraction from the feelings I keep hidden. It’s sleight of hand but emotions. I’ve been hurt way, way too many times by being open about the wrong things.

If it tastes bad, wait another week. All the guides I read talk about a week or 2 or whatever. My brews take 6 weeks in the bottle to be great. (honestly it’s an overnight switch, it’s super weird. 5 weeks of “ehhhh” the week 6 “amazing!”)

Also, if you have a bad brew, try adding something. I had a brew that was garbage but if I added a tbsp of oj per bottle, it was drinkable. I still don’t understand.

I hate playing the diplomacy game. I’m an engineer. I should be able to present the data and have it speak for itself. Sure there’s some skill in data presentation, but I shouldn’t have to kiss up to get my project approved.

Are you on any meds? If so, see if they’re a problem. I had some anti anxiety meds that made me hungry all the time. I could maintain healthy weight before them.

If you like logistics or problem solving, it’s addictive. I have 1200 hours in it.

Creality Ender 3 v1 3d printer. Wasn’t called v1 because there was only one version but they’ve released several models since then. It’s a bare bones kit, no bells and whistles. No auto leveling. No run out detection. I had to add thermal runaway myself. I absolutely love it. I love difficult things.

This probably applies to every industry, but wither enforce the cleanliness standards or remove them. In general, I feel this way about all rules, but specifically we have to maintain a certain level of cleanliness per company documentation. It is loudly championed and there is signage everywhere. However, in practice, it’s rarely enforced. It drives me insane.
