Only a little bit so far. I’ve done:

• 9 bar OPV spring
• Low profile drip tray
• Extra long waste water straw to better fit the lower drip tray
• Single hole steam wand tip

I think that’s it so far. I eventually want to get a Gaggimate but I have other purchases first. I just bought a Cafelat Robot yesterday (ridiculously excited to get it in the mail), and now I’m saving up for a new grinder, and then I’ll get the Gaggimate. So it might be a little while yet, but I’ll get it at some point. I also have a few accessories I want to get, a couple of which are $100-200 so that’ll delay the Gaggimate too most likely. But I’ll have one some day for sure.

Thanks! It’s Propel by Kruve out in Toronto. It’s double walled on the bottom where you hold it and the drink sits, single walled at the top where you sip. It also has internal fins to destratisfy the oils in the shot so you can just swirl instead of having to stir. Really neat design. I got them from Cafuné from Montreal:

My wife has been really into wine lately, which means I have been too, and we’ve been doing that a lot. It’s fun to buy by the bottle.

I should do a fully pretentious mock post comparing instant coffee done as lazily as possible to the most over-the-top snobbish espresso that’s ever been made. That sounds like fun actually.

I love a decaf latte in the evening, that’s pretty much the only time I do a milk drink and it’s not every night. In fact last night was the first time in a couple weeks. But I might try it the next few nights. I think it’ll be fun to learn.

I also agree, it’s something that would be nice to be able to do for someone when asked.

I’d rather brew a touch cold than hot. I usually do 85 if it’s really dark, 87.5 for medium dark, 90 for medium, 93 for medium light, 95 for light. With that being said, I’ve been experimenting with bringing all of those a little colder too (except the really dark, I haven’t gone below 85 yet).

Excellent progress! I’d love to learn latte art but I just haven’t found the time to actually do it. I’m also not a big latte drinker and I’m a bit burnt out from all the lattes I was making recently to learn to steam oat milk, but maybe the next time I try to do lattes again I learn art. It’s something I’d love to be able to surprise my wife with.

For leather, I’ve been a big fan of Popov Leather from BC, Canada. They have the absolute best leather I’ve ever seen. I own a wallet, half a dozen belts, coasters, bags, and more from them and they’re fantastic.

Also, I’ve never tried chicory before, what’s it taste like? I know it’s a pretty historically popular coffee substitute but I’ve never needed to sub coffee before so I never tried it.
